Guess what today is? The opening of the Olympia Film Festival! They are closeing fifth ave. for Mombo dancing lessons. Then the feature film is up followed by more dancing and food! Daniel is coming down with some buddies from the big mountain. Tereasa is in N.Y. visiting her sister for a couple of weeks. I love this time of year! Pumpkin time is just about here. We will be drinking spiced cider and carving over at Eva and Brent's next sunday.
I taught Patricia how to make soap last weekend. She loved it. We made a nice winter thyme and rosemary soap and a lovely smelling one with ylang-ylang, bergamot, lavander, rose geranium (an excellent blend by our body care specialist). It was rather funny though because she had to leave to do errands 3 times during our soap making time. She is so busy! I am excited to have them. Tina has also expressed an interest in soaps. We thought it might be nice to do a pure olive oil soap with lavander oil and calendual flowers. mmm.
Things are good here - the boat had it's maden voyage with Tor, Peter and Levy on the day that I was making soap. It was breezy and warm. That night was fun too. Mark(the guy we see at the Capitol for Sunday movies) and I met Tor and Peter down at the docks for wine, fruit and smoked salmon. Then we had a meal at the Thai Garden - Mark(being a gormet chef) was convinced it's the best in town for thai food. It was great! After, our boys from RI and NY wanted to go bowling. I was Blue named after the color of my bowling ball. Mark my partner, was Pinky. Tor was Elroy and Peter was Louis. We had to seperate Pinky and Louis because they were so competive! I think we were the loudest people in there. Of course Pinky and Blue won the best out of three with Blue bowling a strike for my last roll in a tight game! What a blast! That is one of those once in a year or more sports.
I am so glad you sent an email! I tried to direct myself to you during my nap yesterday. I figured you were asleep around the time that I was. I kept trying to visualize you, Japan, chopsticks, meeting for a meal. Did we do it? Maybe it helped you find that email place. I didn't remember a thing. Tor woke me up fast for an appointment because I had to get a gag me in the throat strep test. I think it's just a bug.
Well, I'll sign off for now. I hope you can find a boat and make some money! It's a lovely fall day outside our bedroom window. I miss you both - happy adventures to you.
Take care
love Melissa and Tor
